The use of the specially designed Variable Angle Incline Stand or VAIS for short, which now incorporates a precision digital level with a manufacturers stated level of accuracy to 0.1 degrees, allows the participant to predetermine the impact angle. Drops of blood strike the VAIS to create a myriad of elongated impact drops which can later be measured.
